On the mountain, Hopsi will show you his many fun play stations.
Hopsi knows the best and most beautiful ways to explore the Planai and its nature!
The stroller friendly trail is about 1.5 km long and starts at the Planai cable car mountain station at 1,900 meters above sea level. Along the route in Hopsi’s footsteps, there are swings, slides, climbing elements, ball tracks and a separate “water world” with a pond. Cooling off on hot summer days is guaranteed!
Experience top-class leisure entertainment, according to the motto: adventure, fun and the best relaxation. And all this in the middle of beautiful nature. There’s something for everyone on the Rittisberg.
A variety of hiking trails on and around the Rittisberg are waiting to be discovered on foot, by bike or horse-drawn carriage.
The Rittisberg Adventure World is a paradise for children. The flora and fauna of the nature and hunting trails as well as a lovingly designed fairytale trail are a unique adventure.
At Freizeitpark “Ramsau Beach” you can play and splash around. The forest high ropes course “Forest Park” requires courage to be overcome by young and old.
Sit down on a bench, switch off and enjoy the view – this is the motto of the new Bankerlweg trail on the Hochwurzen. On a gentle hike, which leads from the mountain station of the Hochwurzen gondola lift to the summit at 1850 meters, around 25 original benches invite you to rest and pause for a moment. Each bench is dedicated to a different theme, so you can take for example a seat on the bench for lovers, the family bench or the sunset bench.
The Fairy Tale Trail in Rohrmoos is a circular trail designed with great attention to detail for the whole family with numerous fairy tale stations, where a wide variety of play equipment awaits young visitors.
The beautiful meadow and forest trail is well marked and only has slight inclines and downhill sections; the trail is also suitable for strollers.
Wild moments, fun and games, fast rides down the mountain – on the Wilder Berg in Mautern you will never be bored!
The chairlift floats gently over the animals to the mountain station. Around 300 Alpine animals welcome guests to Wildpark Mautern. Feedings with the keepers and the bird of prey show provide exciting insights into the secrets of wildlife, while at the children’s farm, the animals can be petted. Fun and games await you at the Kinderstadl with a giant slide, a climbing tower and a haystack where you can romp and jump. For active children, the park offers meter-high slides, swings, carousels and water activities.
During the summer months, the open-air Kneipp facility in Weißenbach bei Haus is a little insider tip and offers young and old the perfect way to cool off on hot summer days.
The water features with many water wheels in different sizes and shapes are also worth seeing.
Salt used to be referred to as “white gold”: And indeed, the deposits formed millions of years ago in the Dürrnberg near Hallein form the treasure trove of the region. The Celts were already mining this precious gift from the mountain around 2,500 years ago, as evidenced by the impressive traces they left behind.
In the oldest visitor mine in the world, young and old visitors from the age of four go on a treasure hunt – and follow the mysterious, ancient tunnels of the miners for kilometres into the mystical mountain …
Far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, the Schladming region can be explored on an idyllic horse-drawn carriage ride.
Excursions to Ramsau, which lies above Schladming, are popular. The quietness, the unique sun-drenched landscape and the magnificent panorama are what make this area so special.
There are plenty of refreshments stops along the way. Traditional delicacies and Styrian hospitality create a cosy atmosphere.
