Bike experience
Bike experience
in the Schladming-Dachstein region
A generous expansion of the Schladming Bike Park has greatly enhanced the mountain bike offer in the Schladming-Dachstein region.
The offer is unique in its dimensions in Austria.
Whether e-bike, mountain bike or downhill fun for young and old, there are no limits to the riding fun.
With a total of 50 km of bike trails in the region, biking fun never falls by the wayside.
The best is yet to come…
…we offer you a selection of different bikes (mountain and city bikes) in many sizes free of charge.
And for all those who don’t want to “pedal” themselves, we have modern e-bikes available.
After your bike tour, you can carry out minor repairs yourself in our “workshop”.
Bikepark Schladming
The state-of-the-art, new 10-seater gondola takes bikers and their sports equipment up the mountain quickly and comfortably.
There are now 35 kilometers of trails to discover and experience on the Planai.
Flowline
The new Flowline is ideal for beginners and families with children. It has an average gradient of just seven per cent, an intuitive route with easy bends and plenty of waves. It winds its way over 8 kilometers from the Planai mountain station through forests and meadows, past the reservoir to the Planai middle station.
99 Jumpline
The new 99 Jumpline is something of a holy grail for experienced downhill bikers. The 3.5 kilometer descent is peppered with perfectly constructed jumps.
In the last section, full pros can turn off onto the parallel Monster Jumpline and jump up to twelve meters.
Uphill Flow Trail
The new Uphill Flow Trail promises a completely new riding experience, especially for e-bikers but also without an electric motor. It starts at the Planai middle station and leads uphill from there at a moderate gradient – including steep bends.
-
Fairy Trail (easy): moderate gradient, perfect for e-bikes
-
Rookie Downhill (medium): lots of bends, smaller jumps, ideal for beginners to the sport of downhill riding.
-
Downtown Line (medium): with a crushed sand surface and some easy obstacles
-
Jack Lumber Trail (very difficult): first northshore trail in the bike park with steep traverses and root carpets.
-
Pro Downhill (difficult): Austria’s longest downhill trail, long since legendary.
-
World Cup Downhill (very difficult): not for the faint-hearted – the World Cup course.
Perfect start: Bike Area
Below the mountain station on the Planai, all those who have never been to a bike park or want to hone their technique will find the right terrain. The bike area offers three different routes (beginner/green, beginner/blue, advanced/red). A conveyor belt takes bikers comfortably uphill to the starting point. Children can make their first bike experiences here under close supervision, as the entire area is clearly visible to parents or accompanying adults.
Reiteralm trails
Great offer also on the Reiteralm
A total of 15 kilometers of single trails are laid out on the Reiteralm. They are divided into two blue (easy) and two red (medium-difficulty) trails.
The Reiteralm Junior Trails, which opened in 2019, form the largest bike playground in Austria.
On four trails with different levels of difficulty, children and young beginners can learn mountain biking or improve their skills in a fun way.
With the Schladming-Dachstein Summercard you receive a discount on single, half-day and day tickets on the Planai and Reiteralm for the use of the trails or transport with the gondola.
Enns cycle path
The world of mountains and water
A highlight and particularly popular is the Enns Cycle Path, which you can access directly from the hotel . It is the starting point for numerous tours and leads through the region between Mandling and Niederöblarn. Enjoy the uniquely beautiful landscape along the Enns.
